Best DIY Aloe Vera Deep Conditioner for Dry Hair. Leaves your hair soft, shiny and manageable.

Deep conditioning with aloe vera gel can make your hair more manageable and even well-moisturized.

Here is a quick aloe vera gel deep conditioning recipe with 2 simple ingredients, aloe vera gel, and extra virgin olive oil.

Why aloe vera gel?

It stimulates growth by waking up the follicles, getting the blood flowing and moisturizes the hair. Aloe vera contains something called proteolytic enzymes which repair dead skin cells on the scalp.

It also acts as a great conditioner and leaves your hair all smooth and shiny. It promotes hair growth, prevents itching on the scalp, reduces dandruff and conditions your hair.

Why olive oil?

Olive oil adds softness and shine to dull, dry hair. Olive oil is a wonderful hair conditioner, and it is one of the emollients that best penetrate the hair.

In addition, its light texture makes it an ideal softener. Not being comedogenic, it is unlikely to cause allergic reactions, making it an ideal product for sensitive skin.

Aloe Vera Gel Deep Conditioner

What you will need:

– 1/2 cup of aloe vera gel (depending on the amount of hair you have)
– 1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil
– Small glass mixing bowl

Note: You must increase the amounts depending on the amount of hair you have. If you have long hair, try to make more than one serving.

Directions:

Extract gel from aloe vera leaf or bottled aloe vera gel from your local health food store.

Mix the aloe vera gel and the olive oil in a mixing bowl using either a spoon or an electronic mixer. Do not blend too much so that the mixture does not become too watery and runny. You want to ensure that it keeps somewhat of a creamier gel-like consistency, (also it’s less messy this way).

Separate your hair into sections and clip for easier application.
Apply the mixture from root to tip, and of course, focus more on the ends.

While applying the aloe mixture massage and work it into the scalp, as well.

Massage your scalp for 5 minutes and let the conditioner sit on your hair for 25 minutes.

Rinse with cool water and style as usual.

Add this deep treatment to your routine. Do it at least twice a month and you will see excellent results.
